Joey Feek Led Dad to Christ Before Her Untimely Death

Joey Feek’s father spoke about how he “got saved” by Jesus a few months ago, thanks to Joey’s help. He said, “I had no idea that was the most important thing I could’ve done for Joey,” he said. “I’m so blessed to be the one she [Joey] called dad.”

The last days of country singer Joey Feek were chronicled on her husband’s blog (http://thislifeilive.com).  Before her untimely passing at age 40, Feek underwent an aggressive cancer treatment plan that included several surgeries, as well as chemotherapy and radiation.

In October 2015, Joey decided to stop treatment. The family then relocated from their farm house near Columbia, Tennessee so that Joey could enter hospice care in her hometown of Alexandria, Indiana.

In an interview with the Tennessean newspaper, Joey Feek stated, “I pray that one morning I just don’t wake up. But I don’t fear anything because I’m so close to God and we’ve talked about it so many times. I know he’s close. And I know he loves me. I’m really at peace. I still believe there’s healing in prayer.”
