Madeleine Shaw Interview: In this video, she got together with Kaushal on the ICON UK Network to show viewers how to make a healthy gluten-free pizza. Madeleine’s recipe uses cauliflower as a base, so it’s healthier than regular pizza, lower in carbs and prevents bloating.
Madeleine Shaw says she wasn’t always this healthy, in fact as a young girl she had a very nutrient poor, low fat, calorie restricted diet. She also had dull skin, lank hair and no energy.
Madeleine slept all the time and found it hard to concentrate, not even long enough to sit through a film. Unsurprisingly this approach to eating also meant she developed terrible digestive problems.
How Madeleine Developed Her Healthy Food Philosophy
She started eating whole foods and found she was gradually falling back in love with food, life, and most important of all, herself. She began work in an organic café in Sydney where she met amazing people who taught her how to properly source, prepare and cook food.
After completing her course at Institute of Integrative Nutrition, she returned to London to begin nutritional health coaching with private clients. She started her website because she wanted to provide a resource for those people who couldn’t come and see her one-on-one.
