Pastor Creflo Dollar sits with world-famous rapper Lil Boosie to talk about his life on the streets, serving time in prison and his bout with cancer, and the importance of trusting in God fully through all things.

Lil Boosie Biography

Lil Boosie, whose real name is born Torrence Hatch, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 14, 1983. The south side Baton Rouge neighborhood he grew up in was notorious for drugs and violence.

At 14 years old, Boosie moved in with his grandmother after his father was murdered over drugs. Now with no father figure in his life, Boosie turned to drugs and crime. After being put out of school, Boosie picked up freestyling rapping and began to get serious about his music.

He was mentored by his cousin Young Bleed and C-Loc and eventually joined the rap group Concentration Camp in 1996. He served time in the Louisiana State Penitentiary from 2009 to 2014, after pleading guilty to drug charges.

Over the course of his career, Lil Boosie has released numerous studio albums, been featured on a number of mixtapes and compilations, and has appeared in several films.  See Boosie’s testimony on Your World with Creflo Show

According to Pastor Creflo Dollar, It’s natural for us to feel afraid when we’re faced with trouble too big to handle by ourselves. Fortunately, there’s supernatural help available Who we can rely on, and this source of help will always be nearby when we need Him. God loves us very much, and He wants us to know that He’s on our side and wants us to win in life.

There’s an important lesson about this in the Old Testament story of David and Goliath. Young David didn’t let fear incapacitate him when faced with a giant who was intent on killing him. Instead, he stepped out in faith, knowing his God was on his side. The result was nothing short of a miracle (1 Samuel 17:1-51).
