In the heart of Toronto, St. James provides a holy space and welcome to those who come to pray; who come to find quiet in a busy metropolitan city; who come to be fed through uplifting sermons, lectures, and worship; who come to be met by the God who loves them.

St Patrick’s Church

St. Patrick’s Parish on McCaul Street in Downtown Toronto is the city’s fifth oldest parish. St. Patrick subway station and the adjacent St. Patrick St. were named after the church. St. Patrick’s is the home of the Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. The German-speaking Catholic community in Toronto holds services in the church as well.

The present church schedule will be maintained until further notice. Although there is no longer an official capacity limit, the church will continue to be opened one hour prior to each Mass, and parishioners will be welcomed until proper physical distancing is no longer possible. At that time the church will be considered to have reached full capacity and the doors will be closed, and no one else will be admitted…

St John’s Parish Church

Today, the parishioners of St. John’s in our modern multi-cultural society of cellphones, the internet, and iPods, have an appreciation for this lovely old church where we hold our worship.  Its roots are long and deep and reflect just a small part of our city’s history and heritage.

Our pastoral plan invites each Catholic in the archdiocese to reflect on our role as stewards of God’s many gifts, calling us to a profound inner conversion that leads us to a spirit of generosity, most fully revealed in the sharing of time and talent with others. We live every moment in a spirit of gratitude, looking for ways to use fruitfully all that has been given to us, in the service of God and neighbour…

Corpus Christi Catholic Church

For churches in the Archdiocese of Toronto, starting on July 16, there will be no capacity limit for indoor sacramental celebrations including funerals, but two metres (six feet) of physical distancing will still be required between parishioners who are not from the same household. This physical distancing requirement means that most churches will not see significant increases in capacity, but some parishes will use overflow spaces so more people can worship
