Only in his 20s, Brian found himself homeless and struggling with an aggressive addiction. Sitting on a bench in the cold of winter, He prayed, “God if you are out there, please help me.”
When Brian came to Portland Rescue Mission, he found community and hope. “Recovery implies that something is lost,” said Brian. “And we are in the process of gaining back something that was lost…I’ve experienced insurmountable change in my heart and in my mind.”
