About Charis Bible College | Andrew Wommack Ministries
The Lord led Andrew Wommack to start Charis Bible College for the purpose of training people for the work of the ministry. He took a unique approach combining the rich teaching of God’s Word and practical, hands-on ministry experience.
According to Mr. Wommack, starting a Bible college was the last thing he ever thought he would do. He had seen so many Bible college graduates become embarrassments to the kingdom of God.
Mr. Wommack gathered together a great teaching staff that shared his vision, and opened Charis Bible College (originally Colorado Bible College) in 1994, graduating its first class of 33 in 1996.
The vision to train others didn’t stop with Charis Bible College of Colorado. Today, they have established numerous schools across the United States and around the world.
Charis Bible College (CBC) is all about equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, training disciples to go out and share the Gospel with the rest of the world in the way God has uniquely called each individual to do it. Andrew Wommack uncovers the traditions and misconceptions in prayer that often bring more suffering than good! In finding out how Jesus taught us to pray, we can bring joy back into our relationship with God. Many people, who truly love God with all of their heart, find it difficult to pray as they have been taught.
And their once-vibrant relationship with the Lord had become stifled, mechanical, and lifeless. What they don’t understand is that prayer is an opportunity to have communion with God-fellowship with the Father. Of course it includes requests because we need help from our Father every day, but it also includes a connection and friendship with God. | Learn more…
Readers may find it amazing that God would talk with them just as a friend, but His greatest desire is for His children to know Him in much the same, intimate way as He knows them.
