Urban Village Church - Chicago Illinois

Urban Village Church – Chicago, Illinois.

Urban Village Church Chicago is rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ, which tears down walls and builds up life. Where there is authentic joy in gathering to worship God and power in discovering that our lives working together can serve and change the world.

Worship services at each UVC location are eclectic and experiential, practical and intelligent, relevant and, hopefully, inspiring. Each site has its own unique flavor and identity. Music ranges from hymns, gospel, and praise songs to jazz and Bob Dylan. You will be welcomed generously. Dress casual. Bring anybody you’d like. And, above all things, be yourself!

Urban Village Church Chicago: Martin Luther King once said, “We must move past indecision to action. Now let us begin. Now let us rededicate ourselves to the long and bitter, but beautiful struggle for a new world.” During the 4 Sunday’s in October, we’ll examine what it means to be an anti-racist and anti-oppressionist Church Without Walls.
Join us as we learn how to listen to one another and how to speak of ourselves, as well as how to engage the systems in which we live, to follow Jesus’ example of tearing down walls to build up life. Each site will hold a post-worship conversation halfway through the series.

The Moody Church - Chicago Illinois

The Moody Church – Chicago, Illinois.

The Moody Church Chicago:  In 1858, Dwight L. Moody started a Sunday School Mission for underprivileged children in Chicago.  The Moody Church has since grown tremendously in terms of members, ministries, and God’s blessings.

The Moody Church has long been a haven for the spiritually hungry. People come here to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ, to receive sound Biblical teaching and to fellowship with other Christ-followers through Bible studies, small groups and other church programs.

Connecting with other believers nurtures our spiritual growth. TMC Communities and Ministries offer ways, both large and small, throughout the year to get connected into The Moody Church.  Visit online at:  http://www.moodychurch.org
