Academic studies and scientific research continues to validate the link between dyslexia and entrepreneurship. In one study, thirty-four percent of the business owners surveyed stated they were dyslexic. These studies showcase how dyslexia can be the gift of innovation and the entrepreneurial mind.

However, many educators and experts focus solely on the weaknesses of the dyslexic brain. To fully utilize the gifts of dyslexia we must shift the focus to what dyslexic individuals can achieve. We can reach this goal by teaching entrepreneurship to dyslexic students and creating entrepreneurial communities for dyslexic business owners.

Tiffany Sunday is a dyslexic entrepreneur, business owner, speaker, and author of You Posted What!? She has been starting businesses and developing new products since junior high school. Tiffany’s passion is entrepreneurship and inspiring individuals to pursue their dreams.
Her mission is to encourage fellow dyslexics and teach entrepreneurship to dyslexic students. She speaks frequently at business and educational events, advising organizations and companies on the topics of entrepreneurship, dyslexia, and our digital transformation.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
