Elevate Christian Network :: Global Humanitarians
The Prem Rawat Foundation founder makes his first visit to the Foundation’s new Food For People (FFP) facility in the remote village of Otinibi, near Accra, Ghana (West Africa). There he was greeted with a warm welcome and jubilant ceremony by local school children, teachers, and attending dignitaries.
About The Prem Rawat Foundation
TPRF has developed Food for People (FFP), a model program that provides hot nutritious meals in the local cuisine to children and ailing adults. Opened first in Bantoli, India, in 2006 and then in Tasarpu, Nepal (2009) and Otinibi, Ghana (2012), the program has been credited with improving community health, dramatically increasing school attendance, and inspiring a growing sense of hope in the communities served.
TPRF’s Peace for People initiatives include international events with government, education, and business leaders to promote understanding of individual peace as the basis for world peace. TPRF helps sponsor Prem Rawat’s message on television in the United States and produces a variety of videos and print materials about personal peace that are available internationally.
The Peace Education Program (PEP) consists of 10 sessions, each focusing on a particular theme. These customized, interactive workshops are non-religious and non-sectarian. The content of each theme is based on excerpts from Prem Rawat’s international talks. The themes are: Peace, Appreciation, Inner Strength, Self-Awareness, Clarity, Understanding, Dignity, Choice, Hope, and Contentment.
