Hillsong Movie – Let It Rise: The film is set for release in theaters Sept. 16, 2016.  Pure Flix is distributing it.  Their aim was to capture the on-stage energy and off-stage hearts of the Australia-based band Hillsong UNITED.  It is a new motion-picture genre—the theatrical worship experience. About Hillsong United

Hillsong UNITED is a worship band that originated as a part of Hillsong Church. It was formed in 1998 as part of Hillsong’s youth ministry, the band consists of several rotating worship leaders from the church. Because the youth ministry had written several songs, Hillsong worship leader Darlene Zschech recommended that they record an album. Since they began, the group has released 11 annual live albums, as well as 4 studio albums. The band composes songs and performs in church services as well as concerts around the world.

Directed by Michael-John Warren (Jay-Z’s Fade to Black), Hillsong – “Let Hope Rise” chronicles the spectacular & miraculous rise of the Australia-based band, Hillsong UNITED, to prominence. Two of the band’s more popular songs include Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) and Touch The Sky. They have sold more than 17 million albums.
