The only thing that kept Kathy and her daughters from living on the streets was a gracious friend with some spare room in the basement.
Tucked away underground, they weren’t the grizzled middle-aged man that many people think of when they hear the word “homeless.” They were instead Portland’s unseen homeless – women and children who do whatever it takes to stay off the dangerous streets. These women and kids make up the fastest growing segment of Portland’s homeless.
Thanks to your support, Kathy is no longer homeless and is taking huge strides to get her life back on track. To give, please visit http://www.portlandrescuemission.org/lp/youtube. Thank you.
