Ken asks…

Christian books?

Do you have any recommendations for Christian books? I enjoyed “Mere Christianity” and “The Great Divorce” by C.S. Lewis, and I will certainly look into his other works. I am currently reading “The Jesus I Never Knew” by Philip Yancey. Do you have any suggestions for other authors/books? I’m 15, and I am able to understand nearly all of what I have read so far, but please no books on profound theology or in-depth philosophy that I’m not going to be able to comprehend. I want to read books that are difficult and will challenge me, and are thought-provoking, but nothing that’s going to be way beyond my understanding.

Also, any suggestions of books about the Reformation or Martin Luther?

Thanks!

Cee answers:

Hi Ken,

“Waking the Dead” by John Eldredge is really great. For books on Reformation or Lutheranism, I suggest you check out  and click on these resources; elca.org and also augsburgfortress.org and Concordia Publishers are both specifically Lutheran publishers. You could start with Luther’s Small Confessions (it’s available at Augsburg for about a dollar).
