do you believe in a God who heals do you believe that he wants to heal you today a pastor who believes that God does heal and that you can receive that healing through faith a faith based on God’s Word if you or a loved one are in need of healing today’s show is for you germán welcome to Jewish voice a program to help you to understand the Jewish roots of your Christian faith Bible prophecy and world events surrounding Israel my guest today believes that God still heals and that his word promises healing for those who will receive it by faith God has promised healing for you and he’s here to explain how to unlock that promise from grace and peace global fellowship in Tampa Florida please welcome senior pastor kynan bridges great to have you man we’re gonna talk about one of my favorite topics in Scripture was killing what is divine healing just for those who who don’t understand this the manifestation of God’s miraculous power and his miraculous promises in our lives particularly our physical body he came to redeem the whole man absolutely absolutely some people believe that Jesus only came to deal with our spiritual condition but the problem with that belief is that that’s not the only thing that fell in the Garden of Eden man fell totally it was a total fall and if Jesus Christ Redemption would be total it has to address the whole man let’s talk about your wife’s expert you have a story of your wife experiencing yeah design healing but one is my wife was she had an irregular heartbeat after my middle daughter was born she started experiencing all these different things dizziness she would be at the sink and all of a sudden she would feel light-headed and have to sit down and so her heartbeat became irregular and it lasted before after during and after the pregnancy so she went to the doctor they ran scans EKGs and all that thing they didn’t they didn’t find anything and so we just kind of kept praying and believing God and the and God’s promises and I remember we were in a church service one one day excellor with a guy named dr. Rodney Howard brown and we were in the service and and the Spirit of God was in that place and my wife just began to claim the promises the the person ministering said that you know someone’s getting healed of an irregular heartbeat and my wife said that’s me and so she grabbed that promise by faith and immediately her heart became regular Wow and it never came no boss again in the words of a man mutual friend Rodney hallelujah there was what I knew yeah the foundation for healing which you talk about in your book possessing your healing is the atonement that there’s divine healing and atonement can you explain that absolutely well you know and and I think when we look at this from a messianic perspective it will unlock a tremendous revelation to the body of Christ because we owe a debt of gratitude to the Jewish people for bringing us the understanding of healing why two reasons number one in Exodus 15 the first promise that God made to Israel is that if you will hearken to my commands if you will keep my instruction which is the word mitzvah if you’ll keep my instruction I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on Egypt for I am the God that heals you I am Jehovah Rapha the Great Physician which means that his first introduction to him was not judgment it was not condemnation but he first revealed himself to the Jewish people as the healer I love that brew absolutely compound that that’s it that’s who God is absolutely he’s the Hillier and then we go over there to Leviticus 23 we understand the Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur and during this time this convocation that well by the way praise God I think I may have a little bit of association I don’t doubt it but what happens is God gives them the instruction and it was a two-part sort of thing there was the scapegoat and then there was the sacrificial lamb the priests would lay hands on the goat and sin the goat into the wilderness representing the putting away of sin but then there was a blood sacrifice where the spotless lamb would be sacrificed to atone for the sins of the people well guess what Jesus became both he’s not only our scapegoat but he is our sacrificial lamb as a matter of fact in the book of John when John the Baptist saw Jesus he says behold the lamb that takes away the sins of the world and when we understand the relationship between sin and sickness a sin free people is a healed people a guilt a guilt free people is a whole people and so God gave us a recipe in the atonement to not only atone for our sins but to take away disease to take away the curse from among his pmn amen hey we have to take a break in and when we come back I want to talk more about this and specifically the process that a person has to go through because it often gets worse before problem does not matter see see a headache can be just as excruciating as back pain and so forth and so on the issue is God wants us well and there’s an enemy out there that does not want us well and he will use any means that he can particularly sickness and disease to obstruct us as we are trying to fulfill God’s purpose and plan for our lives so it doesn’t matter what the sickness or disease is God wants you well kynan let’s go to the word because this is word based and when you read the Gospels you see Yeshua demonstrating healing throughout the Gospels talk about you talk about three significant areas concerning only the Gospels can you go into that a little bit well first of all it’s very important to understand that when Jesus began to function in his earthly ministry he was fulfilling Messianic prophecy and everything that he did was to demonstrate that God was exactly what he said he was so in Luke 4 he starts off by talking about the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me fear is anointed me to heal the brokenhearted to set at liberty those who are oppressed and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and when we study the Gospels we see that’s exactly what he did acts 10:38 says that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth who went about doing good healing all those who were oppressed so the first thing that Jesus demonstrates is he is power to heal that he is the hill it doesn’t matter what you’re dealing with you can be healed and he tells us who’s responsible for the oppression of the devil absolutely the oppression of the devil you know I love the story one of the Gospels that talks about the woman that was bowed over for several years and Jesus uses this expression he says woman Thou Art Loosed from your infirmity who’s that whom the devil has bound all these years so he identifies the enemy and he goes about releasing people from that bondage and so he first demonstrates the power of the heal the second thing we go over there in the Gospel of John we see that Jesus Christ demonstrates the will to heal and this is why this is so important because I get prayer requests and emails thousands of them from all over the world and people ask me this question I said I know God can heal but will he heal me I know he can do it but will he do it for me and so he settles that when he goes to the man of the pool of bethesda and he asked the rhetorical question and says will thou be made whole we know from Scripture that whenever God asks a question he already knows the answer yeah because he asked Adam where art thou God’s omniscient he knew it was a question that God is asking people righteous a little bit you know that God has the power to heal but do you believe he wants to heal yep saluting that question absolutely and then the third aspect is that he tells us where the power lies it’s the Holy Spirit how God anointed Jesus with what the Holy Ghost the Holy Spirit and every single believer in Jesus believer in Yeshua has been given the Holy Spirit so we don’t have to wait for someone to come we don’t have to wait to travel a thousand miles ago to a crusade the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you and it shall quicken your mortal body and that’s so important for people to understand yeah very very good you know I want people to understand this is not about naming it and claiming it in a negative this is about standing on the Word of God so for what we feel absolutely the Bible says in Psalms 107 that he sent his word and healed them and delivered them from all their destruction Jesus said Yeshua said that my words are spirit and life so the Word of God is not just some philosophical jargon it is the life of God and when we meditate on the word and we speak the word and we stand on the solid foundation of the word we will always see the manifestation of God’s presence to talk about standing on the manifestation of word because it does I I do see that for many it gets worse before it gets better you know Jesus patterns is for us don’t you just love you sure because he everything he wants us to do he did it first and we can follow his steps when he’s being tempted for forty days and forty nights in the wilderness Satan comes to him and says listen I know you’re hungry you haven’t been to the buffet line any time soon can you make this stone a piece of bread and Jesus says this profound brother Jonathan he says man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that’s the word Rhema and this is why that’s important because it’s not enough for us to just say the word of God it has to get deep down into our spirit we have it has to become life to our flesh that’s what the Bible says so it transcends emotions it becomes life it becomes revelation on the inside of us so we have to keep on pressing through until what we know in our head sinks down into our spirit I want you to talk for a few minutes about sacred cows roadblocks that keep people from entering God’s provision for healing or any provision for that man well I tell you what I’ll talk about one of the main ones and the main one is that God is using my sickness to teach me a lesson that’s the main one and it’s very common I believed it for many years until I became a parent and I started to think about now what I break my child’s arm to teach them not to put their hand in the cookie jar we would call that abuse now a person may say well but that’s you you’re not God but we’re made in His image and it’s similar to so God does not use sickness to teach us a lesson you know what he uses to teach us a lesson his word and good good his word is what teaches us the lesson and so we have to understand that God is not angry with you if you’re a believer in Yeshua he’s not seeking to punish you he’s not some old man on a rocking chair looking to swatch you you know when you do when you knock over the lemonade that’s not the God that we serve he is a merciful God he is a loving father to his children and he wants us to be well so they’ll become fulfill us he has so well stated I wish we had more time to go into misconceptions because there’s so many I want you to give us one more testimony a woman that was diagnosed with cancer and then I want you to take a moment to pray for people that are watching because not only does God have the power to heal you he desires to heal you God Church and we speak and do different things and we opened the altar for prayer there was a woman that came her and her husband were pastors but they retired from passion because the husband had been diagnosed with cancer and went through surgery and she now had this I guess you would call it melanoma whatever on the skin a bunch of lesions bleeding and all that stuff and she came weeping and she says I’m so afraid I just I don’t know what to do I don’t I don’t you know I’m just so afraid and I was about to lay hands on her but before I could do that the Spirit of God spoke to me and said tell her that she will live and not die and declare the works of the Lord and when I did that I felt the tangible presence of God that came over us like a blanket knocked her out knocked my wife out not the person that was behind her out and she was just on the floor and you felt the peace of God well anyway this was a Friday night and my this is Friday so on Sunday I had to preach a regular service and my wife received the text from this lady and it said that I want you to know that the cancer on my back the growths on my back withered and died and fell off my body 72 hours and that’s that’s the power of Jesus and people need to know that and power of Jesus on spoken word there’s people watching right now that are fighting cancer you may be fighting cancer you may be praying for a loved one that was diagnosed with cancer he can heal you right now he can heal that loved one right now kynan would you pray for people that are watching particularly for cancer but for any illness
