Mikole’s Story of Hope – Portland Rescue Mission
When Mikole was just 14, she was thrust into survival mode. Her mother, struggling with addiction after a bad divorce, often left her and her little sister home alone for days. The abandonment led Mikole to leave home and dive headlong into her own addictions.
“I drank, smoked pot, did ecstasy and coke. I was living with a boyfriend who was a drug lord. We lived in a garage with no kitchen, and there were rats. I was being forced to do things I didn’t want to do. I was in hell.”
Your support helps hurting people like Mikole find healing and a fresh start in life. More than just a meal. More than a bed. You give HOPE.
