Nashville Rescue Mission Channel | Helping the Hungry, Homeless and Hurting
Elevate Christian Network | Ministry Outreach TV
Nashville Rescue Mission: In this archived video from Thanksgiving 2015, NewsChannel 5 reporter Matthew Torres speaks with Nashville Rescue Mission guest, Vernon, who says why he’s counting his blessings this year.
According to the NRM, there is always a surge of volunteers around the Holidays. However, this number usually drops off in January each year. There are always tremendous opportunities to serve all year long with the NRM.
About Nashville Rescue Mission
NRM Mission Statement: “Following God’s command to love our neighbor as ourselves, the NRM seeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing, and shelter to the homeless and recovery programs to those enslaved in life degrading problems.
Our goal is to help people know the saving grace of Jesus, and through Him, gain wisdom for living, find fulfillment in life and become a positive part of their community.” The Mission serves close to 2,000 meals a day to hungry, homeless, and hurting people in the community. This includes three hot meals a day, 365 days a year, and across two campuses.
The Life Recovery Program
The Life Recovery Program is designed to help men and women (18 and over) understand the reasons behind their struggle with addiction, homelessness, and other broken lifestyles—and what steps they need to take to rebuild their lives on a solid foundation rooted in God’s Word and long-lasting solutions.
