National Day of Prayer: “President Obama Remembers Prisoners of Conscience”

President Barack Obama, in his proclamation on the 63rd annual National Day of Prayer, made special mention of “Americans, who are being held or persecuted because of their convictions,” and called on the nation to remember “all prisoners of conscience” around the world.
According to President Barak Obama‘s National Day of Prayer Proclamation 2014: “One of our Nation’s great strengths is the freedom we hold dear, including the freedom to exercise our faiths freely. For many Americans, prayer is an essential act of worship and a daily discipline.”
