- From its humble beginnings in 2003, Freedom Church Philly grew to a weekly Monday night meeting, and later started meeting on Sundays. Two sister churches partnered together to help their young church (which was formerly known as Morning Star Church of Greater Philadelphia) take root: Morning Star New York in New York City, and Grace Covenant Church in the Greater Washington D.C. area.
