As a troubled teen whose parents were divorcing, Ryan didn’t know how to deal with the emotional turmoil around him. Drugs seemed like an escape, but trapped him in devastating alcohol and drug addiction for years.

Thanks to compassionate friends like you, Portland Rescue Mission offered Ryan a place of refuge and hope.

As a young adult today, Ryan has a new life. God has transformed his heart and helped him break free from addiction. He’s involved in the lives of his young kids and hopes to reach out to young people who struggle as he once did.
