Salvation Army Today — Texas Floods 2015:  What started as a series of tornadoes and thunderstorms has turned into dangerous flooding in the U.S. state of Texas. The response began one month ago, showing no signs of diminishing with further storms moving into the area.  More than 30 Salvation Army disaster units are responding across the state to provide water, food, hygiene kits, and emotional and spiritual care.  The American Red Cross and the Salvation Army have partnered together to provide disaster relief to Houston, the fourth largest city in the United States.  Houston is suffering some of its worst flooding in years, as much of the city and its freeways are underwater.
