The Salvation Army San Antonio Area Command held its 40th annual Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Event. The event was their most successful ever, raising more than $120,000 to benefit programs for men, women and children in the San Antonio community, such as the emergency family shelter, youth programs and Christmas assistance.

In addition to professional models, participants included a number of local media personalities and influential women from San Antonio’s business and civic community to showcase the latest trends in apparel. All items used in the event were donated by generous supporters.

Attendees also had a chance to shop for jewelry and clothing in the chic boutique, as well as bid on items through a silent auction during the fun-filled event. The success of this year’s event is attributed to a dedicated Auxiliary who worked tirelessly for almost a year planning the event. The group was led by Major Carolynn Webb; Event Organizer, Catherine Richter Whitsett; Women’s Auxiliary President, Sandra Ojeda Medina and Honorary Chair, Linda Whitacre.
