The Salvation Army of Metro Atlanta KROC Center has piloted an innovative community intervention program for youth called Social Circus. The program, formed in partnership with Cirque du Soleil, is geared toward students suffering from trauma or who have emotional difficulties.

Students are trained in circus arts – from flying on the trapeze and riding unicycles to tumbling. These exercises, along with socio-emotional counseling from trained social workers, help students build self-confidence and gain the tools to deal with challenges they face at school or home.
