Salvation Army Today – 12.3.2019 – Home Run Derby – Gwinnett County, Georgia // @sarmytoday

It’s that time of year to ring bells, raise awareness, and resources to equip Salvation Army ministries to all at Christmas and throughout the year.

The first-ever Home Run Derby kicked off the Kettle season in the northeastern suburbs of Atlanta, GA when three former MLB Atlanta Braves baseball players and others hit baseballs “out of the park.” This, along with a silent auction of famous players memorabilia, other fund-raising initiatives, corporate sponsorships, bouncy houses with other entertainment for kids led to an enjoyable afternoon for families.

The goals of the event were met with the former MLB players appreciative of all The Salvation Army does in the community.
