Salvation Army Today – 2.4.2020 – Refugee Center Italy // @sarmytoday
The Salvation Army in Rome, Italy dedicated and opened a renovated building to shelter refugees waiting for their immigration process to complete, funded by The Salvation Army World Service Office. Refugees who enter the EU through Italy must wait in Italy for their paperwork to be completed, this facility will offer families a safe place to stay at The Salvation Army campus in Rome.
The project partners with The Federation of Evangelical Churches of Italy and Lutheran Evangelical Church of Italy. Before the ribbon cutting, there was a round table discussion held in the corps chapel between several churches and leaders in Rome about the topic of refugees.
