Scott’s Story of Hope – Portland Rescue Mission

When the economy took a dive, Scott lost his job. Out of work and short on connections, he began drinking heavily to medicate his hopelessness. He soon became homeless.

“I got to a point where I really didn’t care. I thought to myself, ‘I’ll just sit here and die.'”

One night, Scott was lying on the cold, hard ground between a couple cars, using a flat piece of cardboard for a blanket. He couldn’t take it any longer and cried out to Jesus to help him.
