Teri’s Story of Hope – Portland Rescue Mission

“I drank at work. I drank after work. In the middle of the night, I would wake up and have another drink.”

Unable to cope with a failed marriage and feelings of worthlessness, Teri’s drinking escalated until she tried to kill herself with alcohol. Thankfully, she survived and found help at our New Life Ministry.

Thanks to your compassionate support, Portland Rescue Mission helped Teri find hope and peace.

“I knew the minute I walked through the doors that this was a really special place. I felt the power of God everywhere around me,” Teri says. “I have my self-respect back. I am valued here.”
