John Hasse, National Director of World Vision Haiti, gives an update on the relief efforts in response to Hurricane Matthew that have impacted almost 1.5 million people.

The extent of Hurricane Matthew’s brutal blow to Haiti is still coming to light days after the storm hit as a Category 4 hurricane with winds up to 145 mph. At least 1.4 million people need humanitarian relief, with 750,000 in immediate need. World Vision is delivering relief supplies and assistance, initially targeting 50,000 families in worst-affected areas. In the U.S., we are working with partners to support coastal communities affected by flooding and hurricane damage.
