Live with Abandon Lyrics

Chasing after this world makes me tired
Praisin’ my own name leaves me dry

There’s gotta be so much more to life than this
A higher calling that I missed
I want my life to count, every breath

I wanna live with abandon
Give You all that I am
Every part of my heart Jesus
I place in Your hands
I wanna live with abandon

I’ll drop everything to follow You
It’s only Your hands I hold onto

There’s gotta be more to life than this
A higher calling that I missed
I want my life to count, every breath

I’m not looking back
I’m done with that
Wanna give You all I have

Live with abandon. Go all out and be all in. Live adventurously and
expectantly … give it all for Him, because He gave His all for me. Be a
rebel with a cause, His cause, completely dependent on Him.

*”Anyone who intends to come with Me has to let Me lead. You’re not in the
driver’s seat – I Am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow Me and
I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way,
My way, to finding yourself, your true self. What good would it do to get
everything you want and lose you, the real you?”*
    – Jesus of Nazareth from the Good News according to Luke (9:23-25, MSG)

*”This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid,
grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a
    childlike ‘What’s next, Papa?’ “*
    – The apostle Paul from his love letter to the Romans (8:15, MSG)

*”It is supposed that real life, real joy, real living is found in the
ultimate expression of free will. In contrast to this is the Christian
diagnosis of life: what is wrong is in me as well as around me, and I do
indeed need freedom, but it is freedom specifically defined and dependent
on God’s resources, not mine … The Christian way is a call to another
life, another way, another lifestyle … we choose to say ‘Yes’ to our King
and His kingdom, to explore ways and means to follow Him more faithfully,
love Him more intently, and serve Him more intentionally. The ‘world’ and
its many allures is acknowledged but resisted, and our vision is to be
    rebels with a cause.”*
    – Stuart McAllister (from an article entitled “Rebels Without a Pause,” in
RZIM Just Thinking magazine, volume 21.4)

What would Christianity be without priests? Read James 5:13-16 and John
20:21-23. This is why Catholics such as I receive the Sacrament of
Confession. This is why we have Anointing of the Sick. The Church, which is
the pillar and foundation of truth (1 Tim. 3:15), wouldn’t get anywhere
without the bishops, priests, and deacons that help minister the sacraments
    to us.
