0:01 ANNOUNCER: The Believer’s Walk of Faith is paid for by 0:03 Bill Winston ministires, partners, and viewers. 0:18 BILL: Favor determines the limits of everyone’s 0:22 destiny. Favor is like faith. It demands that God 0:28 be your source and your only source. You can 0:33 wear favor. People can see it on you. One encounter with favor 0:39 was worth a lifetime of labor. With favor you going to get 0:46 confidence. With favor all you go to do is know God. I want you 0:51 to get that saints because that is one of the biggest 0:54 differences between the world and the church. I said God will 0:58 open up your door. That door can be locked and sealed for years 1:04 but when you stand in front of it, it will open up. The favor 1:09 of God is so powerful until no harassment, no weapon, no 1:15 nothing because God has endorsed you. You’re going into a place 1:21 now where God’s about to raise you up, but I don’t want you to 1:26 compromise going up the mountain. Come on. I don’t want 1:29 you to bow to Baal. I want you to maintain your stand. The 1:36 way you’re going to do that is through favor. 1:46 BILL: One day of favor, one encounter is worth 1:51 a lifetime of labor. I said one encounter with 1:57 favor is worth more than any bank account you 2:01 ever thought you had. One encounter with favor. Notice it 2:08 didn’t take long. Glory to God. He had Egypt to pay in one day 2:14 for Israel’s 430 years of slavery. Say, “Amen,” to that. 2:24 CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: I’m here to tell you that same favor 2:27 is on your life. Now one more time let’s go over the Psalms. 2:34 Psalm chapter 30 if you will. Verse five. “For his anger 2:39 endureth but for a moment. In favor is life. Weeping may 2:47 endure for a night.” Come on. “But joy cometh in the morning.” 2:53 I know we’ve said that traditionally at funerals but he 2:58 was talking about favor. Now let me show you how that plays out 3:04 in somebody’s life named, Joseph. In Genesis 39 this is 3:10 where Joseph was working for a man named, Potiphar. He was sold 3:18 to him as a slave. Potiphar took him but favor was on Joseph. In 3:28 fact let’s prove that by verse 6, “And he left all that he had 3:32 in Joseph’s hand, and he knew not ought he had saved the bread 3:36 which he did eat, and Joseph was a goodly person and,” what? 3:41 “Well favored.” Now it’s amazing about favor because favor will 3:50 give you assistance in whatever you doing. Let’s say you’re 3:57 working for a certain company, favor will come in and favor 4:01 you. Favor will bring you to prominence in that company. It’s 4:07 amazing about people, if you solve their problems they going 4:10 to promote you. If I’m going down here, here comes Mrs. 4:14 Potiphar. You know this story. She tries to get him to lie with 4:17 her. He said, “Wait a minute, how can I sin against my God?” 4:21 Verse nine. “He goes on down and they falsely accuse him and 4:25 throw him in prison.” But look what it said in verse 24, “But 4:30 the Lord was with Joesph and He showed him mercy and gave him,” 4:34 what? “Favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. The keeper 4:40 of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners 4:43 that were in the prison. Whatsoever they did there he was 4:49 a doer of it and the keeper of the prison looked not on 4:52 anything that was under his hand because the Lord was with him. 4:55 And that which he did the Lord made it to prosper.” Say, “The 5:00 Lord made it to prosper.” It’s interesting about how favor 5:04 works. Sometimes what happens with people is they’re trying to 5:15 do it in their own strength. And favor is like faith, it demands 5:23 that God be your source and your only source. So now he gets put 5:29 in prison and there are two people that come down and join 5:33 him after a short while. That’s the chief butler and also the 5:39 chief baker. Somehow they offended the king. Probably 5:44 cooked something that didn’t taste quite right and he put 5:51 them in prison. Now they’re down in prison and like I said, 5:56 Joseph asked them a question. He said in verse seven, “Why are 6:00 you looking so sad today?” And how many of you know misery 6:05 loves company? So one of the things about favor is you got to 6:10 keep your attitude right. You see again, faith is positive. 6:17 Say, “Faith is positive.” CONGREGATION: Faith is positive. 6:20 BILL: You will find people who are very negative are not in 6:24 faith, because you can’t be in faith. Faith sees 6:27 the invisible. Faith sees something and 6:30 realizes something that hasn’t really 6:32 manifested yet. So faith is positive. Say, “Faith is 6:36 positive.” CONGREGATION: Faith is positive. BILL: Here he is 6:39 down here. The chief butler and the baker have a dream. He 6:47 interprets dreams. He interprets the chief butler’s dream. He 6:50 said, “What you dream is the fact that blah blah blah and you 6:54 going to be restored in three days back to your old job.” And 6:59 he says this to him in verse 14, “But think on me when it shall 7:04 be well with thee, and show kindness, I pray thee, unto me, 7:08 and make mention of me unto Pharaoh and bring me out of this 7:15 house.” It doesn’t say, “Out of this house,” in The Message 7:19 translation, it says, “Out of this pit.” He didn’t have any 7:23 color TVs down there and some kind of relaxing couch. He was 7:28 down there and it was rough. But weeping lasts only for a night. 7:33 Come on now. Now in this it’s key that you see Joseph wanted 7:43 to get out. So Joseph is saying, “See if the Pharaoh, see if they 7:52 got anymore jobs in the palace. I got some skills. Seeking to 8:01 use a good worker up there. If you will, go see.” You know in 8:06 the world it’s who you know. Who you know down at the plant? Come 8:12 on. Who you know down at the school board? Come on now. Who 8:15 you know in the mayor’s office? Who you know in the White House? 8:17 Who you know? But with favor you don’t have to know but one 8:21 person. With favor all you got to do is know God. Now I want 8:27 you to get that sense because that is one of the biggest 8:30 differences between the world and the church. I said God will 8:34 open up your door. That door can be locked and sealed for years 8:39 but when you stand in front of it, it will open up. Say, 8:45 “Amen,” to that. CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: Of course he wanted 8:50 to get out and trying to get this man to speak a word for him 8:53 but how many of you know he went back up there and forgot all 8:56 about it? Let’s go over one more thing that I had down here. 9:00 Sometimes in terms of this whole idea of favor, we feel insecure. 9:10 When I said, “Feel insecure,” I mean this, people feel insecure 9:16 maybe they don’t speak quite as well as other people speak. 9:19 Maybe you feel insecure about the position that they have in 9:25 and called in to talk to somebody in the high position 9:28 they feel insecure about it. Maybe it is the idea about a 9:36 person feeling their background is not quite where somebody 9:40 else’s is. In other words they didn’t make as much money as 9:44 this guy’s got all this millions of dollars here and he feel a 9:48 little bit inferior, if you will, in their thinking. Maybe 9:53 it’s a racial background. I know different places that I went 9:57 when I finished college, I was flying in the military and I 10:03 flew fighters. There usually, praise God, was no people flying 10:09 fighters of color but B.W. and so forth. I got top gun, I 10:20 didn’t let that hold me back but my point to you is is that 10:25 sometimes people have a little racial thing. Maybe you came 10:29 from another country, a Spanish-speaking country and you 10:33 got some accent or your English is not as good as other people 10:37 and so forth and so on. Or maybe you might feel that you’re not 10:41 as attractive as somebody else or maybe a little overweight. 10:45 Let me take that off. Anyway, not good enough. My point to you 10:53 is, is that’s where favor can kick in for you. Come on. That’s 10:58 where favor … Because even though your English may not be 11:01 where you want it to be, favor will open the door. If you look 11:06 at even Rachael’s life you’ll see that Rachael had favor. 11:10 Jacob saw that woman and said, “Lord have mercy.” I’m telling 11:15 you women, all you need is favor on your life and you can be out 11:20 there, but favor will bring you into a relationship. Come on. 11:26 Come on now. See what you doing is you trying to do it in your 11:31 own strength. When you do that God takes his hands off and he 11:35 lets you go for yourself. But if you go up and acknowledge who He 11:39 is, every time you acknowledge who He is, your favor increases. 11:45 A lot of times we don’t want to say who He is because we think 11:50 it might embarrass us. Let me tell you something. David was 11:54 not embarrassed. He even took his clothes off and danced. Say, 11:58 “Amen,” to that. CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: I’m here to tell you 12:01 right now God’s people need to start speaking up and letting 12:06 other folks know that Jesus is Lord. God is a God of favor. The 12:16 other folks know that Jesus is Lord. God is a God of favor. The 12:24 nature of God is to show favor. He wants you to ask Him, “Do me 12:31 a favor.” That’s His nature. He loves you. He’s out to promote 12:41 you. Come on now. See, His word is out to Abraham and He’s got 12:47 to do it for Abraham and his seed. You are the seed of 12:52 Abraham. Say, “Amen,” to that. CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: What 12:57 am I telling you? I’m telling you that your destiny is defined 13:03 by favor. That with this favor it will determine how far you 13:10 can go. It determined it in David’s life. It determined it 13:14 over here in Joseph’s life as you remember. Joseph was then, 13:20 the king had a problem that he needed to solve. He called on 13:26 this man, Joseph. So Joseph came and Joseph began to tell the 13:33 king what to do and so forth. The king then began to do it and 13:41 the next thing you know the king made Joseph second in command. 13:46 I’m telling you right now it didn’t take the king but one 13:50 hour to make this man vice over the whole country. I’m saying if 13:57 you got favor in your life you can do some marvelous and 14:03 miraculous things. Say, “Amen,” to that. CONGREGATION: Amen. 14:07 BILL: The other thing about it is you need to expect favor. I 14:13 said you need to expect favor. Once you pray favor or speak 14:19 favor in the morning you need to expect favor all day long. I 14:26 said you need to expect favor all day long. Look what he says 14:32 over in Job, chapter 22 and verse 28 please, “Thou shall 14:38 also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee, 14:43 and the light shall sign upon thy ways.” It’s time for you to 14:48 decree favor. God desires to do favor for me and you and do them 14:56 in abundance. Glory to God. That applies to all of Abraham’s 15:02 seed. You are Abraham’s seed. Say, “Amen,” to that. 15:07 CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: Now, you’ve been called to solve 15:10 problems. Don’t think when God puts you in a place where you’ve 15:14 got problems that you got a problem. One of the things about 15:20 problems is that we’ve got to get the right attitude about a 15:24 problem. You’ve been called for problems. Say, “Amen,” to that. 15:27 CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: A problem is not to make you 15:30 anxious. A problem is to promote you. No problems, no profit. Now 15:38 let’s look at Him choosing you. Sometimes, because maybe you 15:43 have some of these little things that may not be quite where you 15:46 want them you think, “Maybe I’m not that attractive. I’m not 15:50 this, that.” No, no, no, no, no. Don’t try to count yourself out. 15:55 God chose you. You didn’t choose Him. Say, “Amen.” CONGREGATION: 16:01 Amen. BILL: He chose you. Now let’s go over here if you will. 16:05 The first Samuel chapter 16. Say, “The favor of God.” 16:10 CONGREGATION: That favor of God. BILL: “Is on my life.” 16:13 CONGREGATION: Is on my life. BILL: “And is surrounding me 16:15 like a shield.” CONGREGATION: And is surrounding me like a 16:17 shield. BILL: “And I thank you.” CONGREGATION: And I thank you. 16:20 BILL: “For great favor.” CONGREGATION: For great favor. 16:23 BILL: “I am highly favored.” CONGREGATION: I am highly 16:27 favored. BILL: “In the name of Jesus.” CONGREGATION: In the 16:30 name of Jesus. BILL: Look what it says in first Samuel chapter 16:33 16. I’ll start reading at verse six, “And it came to pass when 16:37 they were come that he looked on Eliab and said, ‘Surely the 16:42 Lord’s anointed is before him.’ But the Lord said to Samuel, 16:47 ‘Look not on his countenance or on the height of his stature, 16:52 because I have refused Him.’ For the Lord seeith not as man 16:59 seeith. For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord 17:05 looks on the heart.” He’s saying, and I put another 17:10 translation here, He says, “Have no regard for his appearance or 17:15 his stature. Have no regard for it.” Understand that David was a 17:24 guy about my size. I know that doesn’t mean much to you but it 17:33 means a lot to me. Say, “Amen,” here. CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: 17:37 Now this is different from Saul. If you go over to first Samuel 17:46 chapter eight this is when God first chose a king for Israel. 17:53 Look at chapter eight and look at verse 19, “Nevertheless the 18:00 people refused to obey the voice of Samuel and they said, ‘Nay 18:07 but we will have a king over us that we also may be like the 18:13 nations.'” In other words, the world. “And that our king may 18:18 judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.” Come on 18:22 down to chapter nine and verse two, “And he had a son,” talking 18:27 about the parents of King Saul, “Whose name was, Saul. A choice 18:33 young man, and a goodly. And there was not among the children 18:39 of Israel a goodlier person than he. From his shoulder and upward 18:45 he was higher than any of the people.” He wasn’t God’s choice. 18:51 He was the people’s choice. The people’s choice. See if you let 18:59 people choose them they going to get six five. Come on. Can I 19:08 come? Maybe I better go over here. I’m here to tell you that 19:15 people judge from the outside but God looks, come on, at the 19:24 heart. I’m saying when your trying to disqualify yourself, 19:29 be careful, because God chose you. When He did, He looked at 19:36 your heart. Say, “Amen,” to that. CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: 19:39 He didn’t choose Saul. That was the people’s choice. That little 19:44 old joint I used to go to when I was unsaved was called, 19:47 The People’s Choice. Boy there’s a lot of flesh up in there boy. 19:51 That flesh was running crazy up in there. My point to you is … 19:56 Are you all following me over here? You all see what I’m 20:00 saying? I’m saying you got to let God choose for you. 20:05 Sometimes you choosing something for the short run. Because what 20:10 happened to this man Saul? All of a sudden he stopped following 20:14 the Lord and the next thing you know God took an anointing off 20:19 of him found this one guitar player. Come on. Coming in from 20:25 keeping sheep. Came in. Didn’t have protocol one, “Hey Samuel. 20:31 What’s up bro? What’s up? What it be like?” He didn’t have no 20:38 protocol but God looks on the heart. He knows exactly what 20:44 He’s doing. Say, “Amen,” to this. CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: 20:48 So what happened? Saul ended up, the anointing left him envious 20:54 of David. Trying to kill him. But when you have favor you are 21:01 divinely positioned. Whenever you are divinely positioned 21:07 nothing can hurt you. (Praying in tongues) Not only can you 21:14 pray favor on you but favor on your family. Say, “Amen,” now. 21:22 CONGREGATION: Amen. BILL: Because we going to get 21:23 protected from what happened this week. We going to pray 21:28 favor on them kids. Favor on your wife. Favor on your school. 21:35 Glory to God. Say, “Amen,” somebody. CONGREGATION: Amen. 21:43 BILL: So Saul ended up going to some kind of obie man or some 21:50 woman who work all this roots and stuff. Just going crazy. 21:55 Eventually just killed himself. What am I saying? No favor. You 22:05 go to let God do it. Keep your hands off of it. It’s all right 22:11 if you say this, “Lord, do me a favor. Lord have mercy. I need a 22:18 favor, Lord.” Favor is His nature. You’re not asking Him to 22:25 do anything outside of what He’s already promised Abraham He 22:29 going to do for you. Say, “Amen.” CONGREGATION: Amen. 22:31 BILL: But as your way to the top. Look what it did for 22:35 Joseph. They took him from a slave to a ruler. Over a 22:41 country. I’m saying what He did for him, what He did for 22:47 Abraham, what he did for Apostle Paul, what He did for Jesus, 22:51 He’s now ready. It’s a set time for Him to do it for you. Give 22:56 the Lord a praise because it’s your time for favor. 23:09 BILL: Well, I trust that you were blessed by that powerful 23:10 teaching, it’s the law of favor. Now, today’s teaching is apart 23:15 of an exciting three disc series. Now, here’s a very 23:19 important point you want to remember, the Lord made Joseph 23:23 to prosper and he was raised up to be number two in command to 23:28 pharaoh. Now, this is a jew raised up in Egypt. So, in the 23:33 world it’s who you know, but not so in the kingdom. In the 23:37 kingdom, favor will take you to the top. Praise God. Our 23:41 announcer is going to give you some important information on 23:44 how you can order this powerful teaching on 23:45 the law of favor, and I’ll be right back. 23:53 BILL: Favor determines the limits of everyone’s 23:56 destiny. Favor is like faith. It demands that 24:02 God be your source and your only source. You 24:08 can wear favor. People can see it on you. One 24:12 encounter with favor was worth a lifetime of labor. With favor 24:19 your going to get confidence. With favor, all you go to do is 24:25 know God. I want you to get that saints 24:28 because that is one of the biggest differences 24:30 between the world and the church. I said God 24:33 will open up your door. That door can be locked and sealed 24:38 for years, but when you stand in front of it, it will open up. 24:43 The favor of God is so powerful until no harassment, no weapons, 24:50 no nothing, because God had endorsed you. You’re going into 24:56 a place now where God’s about to raise you up. But I don’t want 25:00 you to compromise going up the mountain. Come on. I don’t want 25:04 you to bow to Baal.
