The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is partnering with Operation Christmas Child to pack shoeboxes again this year. Reaching children around the world is a family tradition for these officers and their families.

Operation Christmas Child gift-filled shoeboxes open the door for the Gospel to be shared with children all around the world. And after they receive their gifts, they are invited to participate in The Greatest Journey discipleship course where they learn more about the Bible and God’s great love for them.
In case you’re not familiar with Operation Christmas Child (or OCC for short), it’s an annual gift campaign Samaritan’s Purse runs every year to bless children in need around the world. Each individual or family packs a shoebox with age-specific gifts, then drops them off at a donation center during collection week, after which OCC processes and delivers these boxes directly to the intended recipients.
Operation Christmas Child is the largest children’s Christmas ministry in the world; they collect donations of gift-filled shoeboxes for kids who don’t wake up and open gifts on Christmas morning.
