Visit Tina Georgy on Facebook —  https://www.facebook.com/TmakeupG … Makeup and Minimalism- Keeping with the natural, organic, environmentally friendly, Eco-safe, cruelty free simplistic lifestyle, I share my favorite natural beauty product, coconut oil.

Tina Georgy says she uses coconut oil to condition and moisturize her hair, remove makeup, and as a moisturizer for her skin and body.  She says you can buy organic coconut oil at any whole foods store.  It is solid at room temperature, but turns into oil as it is heated up. Coconut oil is a great makeup remover and can be used in the summer after a sunburn and to rejuvenate over dry skin.

*Update:  Tina Georgy remove her coconut oil skincare tutorial video. The video above is now showing her “Vanessa Hudgens Inspired Makeup Tutorial”. We have included a video below by Letitia Laura, titled “Beauty Benefits of Organic Coconut Oil for Skin & Hair“.

How to Maintain Healthy Looking Skin – Some Tips For Effective Skin Care

Taking care of your skin is something you will never regret. Many people don’t take care of their skin, and are sorry it later in life when age starts showing. This article will discuss a few easy, quick tips you can do to take better care of your skin.

One of the obvious points of skin care is the daily cleansing of your face and pores. If you resist this regular routine, your pores can build up and you will notice annoying blackheads beginning to appear. Simply rinsing them out nightly with warm soap and water is just enough to get the job done.

Drink Plenty of Water

One of the most basic things that you can do for great skin is to drink plenty of water. Make sure that you get in 8 glasses a day so that you can flush your system out, which will allow for your face to look clearer and more healthy looking. It will help present a nice glow from the inside out.

To keep your youthful glow exfoliate your skin daily with a wash cloth or other textured cloth. In addition you should exfoliate with a sea sponge or exfoliating cleanser once a week. Removing the old, dead skin cells from the top layer of your skin allows the new, softer skin cells underneath to be seen.

To help with your acne, make sure you’re getting enough vitamins and minerals in your diet. One way to do this might be to eat a variety of fruit and vegetables, another way is to take a daily supplement. Whatever you do, as acne is often a sign of poor nutrition, making sure your diet is healthy is a good way to get great looking skin.

Protect Skin from Ultraviolet Rays

One of the most damaging things to human skin is the sun. The sun emits ultraviolet rays that can cause further damage to skin that is already experiencing acne trouble, increasing redness and inflammation. Be sure to wear a sunscreen lotion with an SPF of at least 15 and has the ability to block UVA and UVB rays. Apply to the skin before entering the sun (at least 20 minutes in advance). Before applying, make sure the screen isn’t acne sensitive.

When you are looking for skincare products, go for simple. The more simple the formula, the better results you will get. This is especially true for your wallet. Oftentimes, products will say they are two different things when, in fact, they are the same product with a minimal variation.

Always use a sunscreen, especially when using anti-aging products. Most anti-aging creams don’t have a SPF in them, and as we all know, unprotected skin exposure creates wrinkles, and also puts you at risk for many UV related diseases, such as skin cancer. The lighter your skin tone, the higher a SPF you want to use.

Only natural products in organic skin care products. It is more natural, safer for the skin. Organic products are definitely better both for your health and your skin.
