Happy Thanksgiving Week! With the holidays comes family, food, great times…and sometimes STRESS! So, what can you do when the turkey is burnt, the stuffing is dry and the family is arguing about politics?

The Bible has an answer: Rejoice!

Yes, rejoice!

Philippians 4:4 says:
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice!”

The word “always” is key to this verse. It doesn’t say to only rejoice when things are going perfectly. No, it says to rejoice always, so that means we are to rejoice even when life gets a bit stressful.

Why do you think we have this instruction to rejoice? One clue is given in Nehemiah 8:10:

“Nehemiah said, ‘Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.'”

It’s no doubt that Thanksgiving is a day we set apart to the Lord to give Him thanks for all He’s done in our country and our lives. It’s a time to remember our blessings and those less fortunate. So, when little things come in and try to steal our joy, we need to be quick to act on the Word of God and rejoice! The joy of the Lord is our strength, and that’s how we can overcome even the most stressful moments the holidays may bring.

Watch this Ministry Minute video with Kenneth Copeland, and learn more about how to handle stress this Thanksgiving. You will learn how to stop the enemy from moving into your soul by not giving him a place in your thoughts or words. Don’t miss it!
