May 2012 Video Teaching of the Month — James Goll – “What is a Prayer Storm?”
“What is a Prayer Storm?”
Prayer storm. What is it? James W. Goll, Director of Prayer Storm teaches us what it means to storm with prayer.
What is prayer? Very simply, it is spoken or unspoken communication with God; it is an earnest, heartfelt request made before God, a request conveyed by a means of petition; it is an ache, a yearning for things to change.
What does the word “storm” mean? The dictionary defines it as “a heavy bombardment of solid objects, a sudden strong outpouring, the feeling or a reaction to something: for example a storm of protest or laughter, a torrent of communication. To attack, to capture a place, especially a well-defended one suddenly with great force; to be or to go somewhere violently, noisily, or angrily. To blow strongly, to drop large amounts of precipitation.”
We’re called to a prayer storm for such a time as this. Get clothed with supernatural authority and the wisdomways of God. Let the hand of God grip you for such a time as this.
